SEATTLE  (March 4, 2012) -- The Puget Sound Premier League and U.K. Elite are proud to announce a partnership aimed at helping individual players and teams improve their game – technically, tactically, mentally and physically.

“We are excited to partner with U.K. Elite that offers an avenue for players and teams to sharpen their game,” said PSPL Executive Director Stanley Holmes. “U.K. Elite is already well known for its high degree of professionalism and expertise in training youth soccer players.”

The PSPL and U.K. Elite are working together to provide individual and team camps that will help players, coaches and teams raise their game.  U.K. Elite’s professional staff will run the camps at different locations around the state throughout the summer.

U.K. Elite and the PSPL will be offering a Regional Individual Player Development and Pre-Season Team Training camps. UK Elite trainers have designed these camps based on their longtime understanding of the development requirements and needs of players, coaches and teams in the Northwest.

“We are very much looking forward to working with the PSPL organization to provide cutting edge training opportunities and coach development programs,” said Dan Lock, U.K. Elite regional manager.

“The PSPL and UK Elite soccer share similar views on the development of youth soccer players,” Lock said. “As two very proactive organizations within the Washington and Idaho youth soccer communities, we are very excited to work together to offer our quality training methods to the players and teams within the PSPL.”

The Regional Individual Player Development camps are week-long soccer camps that focus on sharpening the overall skills of advanced players using UKE player attainment targets and NSCAA best practices. These camps will allow current and potential PSPL players the opportunity to enhance their skill development outside of their teams setting.

Players will be exposed to technical training and skill development under the watchful eye of a highly qualified UK Elite trainer. Camps will focus on age appropriate skills and techniques that will allow the individual player to take their game to the next level. The Pre-Season Team Training Camp is designed to meet the needs of the coach, the individual players and the team as a whole. Each team will receive a customized curriculum developed in partnership with the coach and trainer that will ensure that the players receive technical, functional and tactical training. The players will also benefit from working together as a team in a competitive, structured learning environment.

Players will receive 12 or 24 hours of field training as well as classroom sessions to develop understanding of systems of play and tactics. The tournament structure will allow teams to scrimmage against other PSPL teams to provide a holistic learning experience and the perfect pre-season preparationd.
